Project: Horse Valley Creek and Wetland Restoration Project

Description: An allocation to the East Contra Costa County Habitat Conservancy that will restore the ecological functions of Horse Valley, by removing an elevated asphalt road that bisects the valley and restoring hydrologic connectivity across the valley floor. The fine grading of ±2 acres of seasonal wetlands, and the realigning of 3,000 feet of creek channel (±1 acre) will also create habitat for state and federally listed species in the region.
