The North Hollywood West Wellhead Treatment Facility Project (Project) will provide wellhead treatment for 1,4-dioxane contamination in the San Fernando Groundwater Basin (SFB). LADWP has developed a Proposed Plan and Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study, accordance with the National Contingency Plan, to identify remedial alternatives for selection of the remedial plan. The propose NHW Project would design and construct water treatment systems, pipelines, and other facilities needed to limit the migration of 1,4-dioxane contaminated groundwater into uncontaminated and less contaminated areas of the NHW Wellfield, remove and treat
the contaminated groundwater, and provide the treated water for direct domestic use. The NHW Project also includes engagement in community outreach and coordination with regulatory agencies, complete environmental document, and the construction of the remediation plan.
