Project: Polaris Creek and Wetland Restoration Feasibiity Study

Description: The study will include alternatives and conceptual plans for recreation facility relocation and site restoration, including a campground, ball fields and selected parking. The study will consider removal of fill in a 13 acre wetland, reconstruction of 2,500 linear feet of stream channels and re-establishment of native vegetaiton. These improvements would restore natural wetland processes and functions, improve water quality entering Lake Tahoe and enhance aquatic and terrestrial wildlife habitat.
