Project: Lake County SD Anderson Springs Septic to Sewer - Construction Project

Description: The community of Anderson Springs surrounds Anderson Creek, a small natural stream that flows into Putah Creek. The community is located 4.5 miles from Middletown, CA. In September 2015, 198 of the 2012 homes burned in the Valley Fire. Homes cannot be rebuilt under current building and zoning codes and set back requirements. A sewer system will allow homes to be rebuilt and the 14 homes that did not burn will also connect to the sewer system. They are requesting construction funds to construct a sewage collection system and install wet wells and grinder pump systems on 100 homes that are existing or in the process of being rebuilt. Many of the homes that burned have a time limit on when the insured home must be rebuilt if insurance is used. They are trying to install the sewer system quickly to allow the fire victims to rebuild homes using their homeowners insurance.
