Project: Marina Coast WD Regional Urban Water Augmentation - Constrution Project

Description: The Regional Urban Water Augmentation Project (RUWAP) Transmission Main is a combined use advanced treated recycled water (ATW) conveyance system to serve both the Marina Coast Water District (MCWD) Water Augmentation Program, and the Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (MRWPCA) Pure Water Monterey (PWM) Groundwater Replenishment (GWR) Project. The two agencies propose to combine their projects for the construction of one single transmission pipeline, storage resevoir and related facilities to deliver ATW in the 180/400 Aquifer sub basin, Monterey sub basin and the Seaside Adjudicated sub basin. Several sections of the MCWD transmission pipeline are already existing. MRWPCA proposes to separately construct the PWM ATW production and pumping facilities and the GWR lateral pipeline and injection facilities for indirect potable reuse.
