Project: City of Coachella City Wide Stormwater Improvement Project

Description: The Project will be used to establish and prioritize a program of capital improvement projects to reduce flooding, reduce impacts to the sanitary system during rainfall, provide stormwater detention/filtration, and direct stormwater to the Stormwater Channel and Whitewater River.

Objective: To address water quality and flood management for Coachella, which is in a low lying area situated below sea level, is subject to flooding on a regular basis and drains stormwater runoff from the Coachella Valley into the Channel, Whitewater River and ultimately, the Salton Sea.
