The Oflyng Water Quality Project (Project) encompasses the Tahoe Paradise Unit No. 48 and Country Club Heights No. 5 subdivisions, which includes Skyline Drive, Crystal Air Drive, and Oflyng Drive. The primary goal of the Project is to improve the clarity of Lake Tahoe by reducing detrimental water quality impacts that are a result of the development of the subdivisions. The objective of the Project is the reduction of the transport of fine sediment and runoff volume from the Project area to the Upper Truckee River by construction water quality Best Management Practices (BMPs) and community outreach to educate the public. This project has been approved as an Environmental Improvement Project (EIP) as part of the EIP Program in Lake Tahoe (EIP Number #01.01.01.0074).
