Project: Protecting and Restoring Wilderness Meadows in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks

Description: The Project will complete design documentation, permitting, and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) / California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance to advance restoration of a high-priority front-country site (Log Meadow) to shovel-ready status so that it can provide multiple benefits (natural water storage, flood attenuation, improved water quality, improved aquatic and wet meadow habitat, recreational values, climate change resilience) and act as a case study for effective restoration methods on wilderness sites.
