Project: Novato Creek Levee Evaluation Project

Description: The levee system has experienced several performance issues during past high-water events including levee overtopping, through/under seepage and slope stability failures. The primary goal of the project will be to evaluate the geotechnical condition of the existing levees, and determine the feasibility and costs of modifications to address both levee stability and potential improvements that could achieve improved flood protection for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) accreditation.
