Project: Oroville Wildlife Area (OWA) Floodplain Reconnection and Habitat Restoration

Description: The overarching multiphase project will reconnect the Feather River to its historic floodplain, increase frequency of floodplain inundation, create shallow floodplain habitat for fish, and enchance riparian habitat. Funding for this Project will map and establish baseline and post-treatment conditions for targeted area; treat priority areas to reduce aquatic and terrestrial and invasive plant communities; prepare and obtain permits for future offsite invasive species removal; and prepare native plantings for implementation of riparian restoration on the OWA D unit.
