Project: Laton Community Services District Wastewater Facility Improvements - Planning Project

Description: Develop a project that can achieve the following objectives: 1. Evaluate the existing headworks structure and determine whether to rehabilitate or construct a new structure; 2. Provide proper access for removal and installation of lift pumps, valves, discharging piping and electrical; 3. Improve access and monitoring conditions in the headworks structure for worker?s safety; 4. Provide for debris removal to protect lift pumps; 5. Address grit removal to provide lift pump protection and assist in the treatment process; 6. Address the remaining useful life of the existing concrete structures and piping; 7. Improve efficiency of the aeration system to reduce the power usage at the wastewater treatment plant; 8. Improve flow measurement; 9. Evaluate additional pond capacity; 10. Evaluate the potential for effluent reuse; 11. Review existing sludge drying bed capacity; 12. Consider incorporation of a PES (solar power); 13. Evaluate electrical upgrades and implementation of SCADA; and 14. Video camera outfall pipeline.
