Project: Lemon Cove Well and Storage Tank - Planning Project

Description: State Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB) Division of Drinking Water (DDW) has determined that Lemon Cove Sanitary District (District) water system is in violation of the Nitrate maximum contaminant level (MCL). For that reason, SWRCB & DDW issued Compliance Order No. 03-24-15R-005 on November 5, 2015. The compliance order requires the District to be in compliance with the primary drinking water standard for Nitrate MCL by December 1, 2018. The District proposed project will include a design for a new Well and evaluation of alternatives.

Objective: The proposed project will plan for the installation of up to two wells. A preliminary engineering design report be developed and will recommend an alternative for the construction project then final plans and specifications will be developed.
