Project: Antelope Canal Automation

Description: This construction project overall includes the purchase and installation of automated headgates that are integrated with the ends of the canals to reduce irrecoverable canal system water losses. This project will also include: environmental review to ensure appropriate permits and environmental requirements are met; identification and acquisition of easements or rights-of-ways, if necessary; design of remote telemetry cabinets; integration into existing SCADA system; and post-project monitoring. Grant funding is used only for purchasing gates and piping.
