Project: Building Improved Agricultural Water Use Efficiency in Napa County

Description: Project will provide technical assistance to growers by: performing mobile irrigation lab (MIL) system evaluations; on-going grower support through the Irrigation Scheduling Toolkit pilot service project; and, staff training to better provide irrigation scheduling and management technical assistance. This project will also improve a water use efficiency best management practices demonstration site by conducting irrigation system evaluations, identifying water use efficiency improvements, installing two wireless soil moisture probes, and applying compost to improve water holding capacity.
