Project: Statewide Leak Detection Education and Technical Assistance Program

Description: Technical assistance project to provide leak detection education and onsite technical assistance to agricultural irrigation districts located statewide with a focus on those serving disadvantaged communities. This project includes 15 educational workshops (5 per year) statewide on water loss control and leak detection principles;,and perform 48 water-system audits and leak detection surveys (16 per year) on systems identified as being most in need of identifying unaccounted-for water loss. The proposed leak detection project will contribute to the implementation of the California Water Action Plan, Action Number One: Make Conservation a California Way of Life and help to achieve agricultural water use efficiency goals as specified in SB X7-7, Part 2.8.
