Project: Outreach Workshops, Technical Assistance and Irrigation Evaluations to the SWEEP Assistance Program

Description: This outreach and technical assistance project promotes and enhances grower participation in SWEEP (a separate program administered by CDFA that provides financial assistance to growers implementing certain irrigation system improvements). Local grower workshops will be conducted to help growers know about and apply to SWEEP for funds to implement their identified improvements; outreach and guidance materials will be developed and published to promote water use efficiency, SWEEP, and to assist in the application process for SWEEP funds; and, as-needed provide individual SWEEP application assistance for workshop participants. Project also includes water use efficiency effectiveness evaluation of SWEEP by performing full irrigation system evaluations for irrigation systems that have received past SWEEP funds and before and after SWEEP upgrades for participants in this project.
