Project: Calloway Canal Lining and Water Delivery Improvements

Description: The Calloway Canal Lining and Water Delivery Improvements will concrete line approximately 1.1 miles of unlined canal and install automated real-time monitoring of well-pumping. The Water Delivery Improvements include: installing flowmeters, water quality sensors (pH, Nitrate, and Conductivity), and water level sensors at 100 District-owned wells; Installing water level sensors to the District’s 15 abandoned wells; Installing Evapo-Transpiration (ET) stations at 10 locations; and Installing telemetry units to each station and integrating the information into the existing SCADA system. Final design, environmental compliance, and permitting are included in this project. This grant funds a portion of the canal construction and implementation of water delivery improvements activities and equipment.
