Project: NDC Lift Pump Station

Description: The North Drainage Canal Lift Pump Station Project will construct a new tailwater recovery pump station with 120 cubic feet per second (cfs) capacity near the head of Natomas Central Mutual Water Company’s (Company) largest point of diversion, the Sankey Diversion. The location of the new pump station will supplement drain water into the irrigation canal to reduce the demand for Sacramento River water by approximately 4,000 acre-feet annually. This project will also improve management and effective use of the drain water system within the basin and reduce the quantity of excess drain water pumped out to the river system.
