Project: Anderson Valley CSD Boonville Drinking Water - Planning Project

Description: "Boonville currently does not have any water or sewer in the community. They are applying to DWSRF planning to create a water system. They are also applying for CWSRF to create a sewer system. The community is going through LAFCO this summer to get authority (form a CSD) to charge for these services. The project will include engineering report, TMF, test wells, CEQA, and design of pipelines, storage tanks, new wells, fire hydrants, meters, etc. Drilling locations are most likely either at the fairgrounds on the south end of town or near the existing wells at the Meadow Estates MWC. Meadow Estates MWC is a small subdivision that would like to become part of the Anderson Valley CSD and part of the water system. Currently residents rely on backyard wells and septic tanks. There are a number of water quality issues with the current wells, most seriously biological contamination.
