Project: City of Dos Palos WTP - Planning Project

Description: The existing surface water treatment facility is over 60 years old and has multiple violations including high Total Trihalomenthane (TTHM) concentration level and unreliable treatment capacity. The existing filtration system does not provide reliable removal of Giardia/Cryptosporidium cyst size particles and therefore requires chemical preconditioning in order to meet drinking water standards. The city used two ground-level storage tanks (1 and .75 MG) to store treated water and pump to three booster station that delivers potable water to the distribution system.
