Project: Maywood Avenue Well Improvements - Planning Project

Description: The Maywood Avenue Well Improvement project will restore the drinking water quality to the area serviced by Maywood Mutual No. 2 (MMWNo.2) so that the residents have a safe, clean and reliable source of drinking water. The project consists of constructing an Iron and Manganese treatment plant. Currently, a planning study is underway in order to prioritize and set budgets for the necessary improvements. The planning study will recommend a cost effective strategy for restoring well water quality to the area serviced by MMWNo. 2 and reduce the costly dependence on imported water. The recommended solution will include three elements: a wellhead treatment system, recommended improvements for public safety, and recommended improvements for operator safety and efficiency.
