Project: Lower Putah Creek Watershed Restoration

Description: The Project will evaluate comparative costs and benefits among 34 prospective restoration sites, to make the underlying science transparent to stakeholders and to develope consensus proposals for future restoration projects that will restore natural channel form and function on 30 miles of creek channel impacted by gravel mining, channelizaiton, vegetation removal and invasive weeds.

Objective: Objectives of this project are to deliver 34 conceptual geomorphic site plans, to complete baseline fish and wildlife assessments for each of these sites, to hold 24 public meetings to review conceptual plans, to create a graphic model of underlying science and stakeholder interests, and to convert three of these conceptual plans to final plans.
