Project: Palo Verde Union Elementary School District - Planning Project

Description: The school's groundwater well produces water containing elevated levels of arsenic near the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 10 parts per billion (ppb). Since 2012, the arsenic annual running average ranges from 7-9 ppb. Dependability of the water source is suspect as it requires a long time to recover. The groundwater well is the school?s only water source; it has no backup supply or emergency connections.
