Project: Technical Assitance - University Enterprises Drinking Water Technical Assistance and Outreach

Description: The goal of the project is to provide small, disadvantaged communities (DACs) with a sustainable water treatment, storage and distribution system that reliably produces water that meets state and federal drinking water standards. Long-term sustainability of the system hinges not only on appropriate design and construction techniques, but also on robust management and operations and maintenance programs that include asset management, operator training and certification, and an appropriate rate structure.
