Project: Russian Gulch East Branch Fish Passage Improvement

Description: The project includes the preparation of final designs and implementation of six fish passage and habitat improvement projects in the East Branch of the Russian Gulch in coastal Sonoma County. The project entails removal or modification of six large woody debris (LWD) jams in order to improve fish passage conditions for federally-listed salmonids and improve overall stream function. Removal and modification of the barriers will make available more than 3 miles of spawning and rearing habitat for anadromous fish.
