A Conservancy grant will support the acquisition of a 73-acre property at Carr Lake in downtown Salinas by the Big Sur Land Trust. Working with City and community partners, the Land Trust aims to acquire and ultimately transform the property to a “central park” for Salinas, while also reducing flood risk, enhancing natural habitat, and improving the water quality of Monterey Bay.
