This is a planning project to resolve insufficient source capacity, inadequate filtration/treatment of surface water, and aging infrastructure. The planning project includes the following tasks: drill a test well, collect and analyze water samples, and perform pumping tests to locate a groundwater source which can provide the community with potable water and meet existing demands; engineering, surveying and design work associated with the replacement of the system's aging redwood storage tank; design of an emergency intertie with Lewiston CSD, a nearby water system; and evaluate full consolidation with Lewiston CSD.
