Project: Tulare County 2015 SGMA Planning Grant

Description: The objective of this project is to: (1) assist with sub-basin Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) organization through a coordination agreement for each basin (2) develop groundwater sustainability procedures through Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) drafting, coordination and implementation, including land use and groundwater ordinance coordination and planning and (3) collect and analyze data and sustainability criteria that can be used by the GSAs for GSP development within each basin to reduce undesirable results. These objectives are designed to maximize recharge potential, efficiently and successfully manage overdraft, and monitor groundwater quality.
