Project: Kings County Critically Overdrafted Groundwater Basin Modeling Plan

Description: The purpose of this project is to improve the sustainable management of groundwater in Kings County by developing a key resource/tool for local Groundwater Sustainability Agencies to use to facilitate SGMA Compliance. The project's objectives to achieve this goal include: 1) Accomplish consistent data collection throughout the County; 2) Evaluate the impacts of drought and overdraft in the subbasin; and 3) Develop a numeric groundwater model of the Tulare Lake Hydrologic Region within Kings County.
