Project: A Program to Advance Groundwater Sustainability for Colusa County through Policy, Institutional, and Technical Refinement

Description: The primary objective for this project is to develop a sustainable groundwater future for Colusa County by updating and implementing local Ordinances, conducting a county-wide groundwater assessment and water balance, characterizing existing and future groundwater development, developing a contywide groundwater level monitoring network, and developing a groundwater data management program. This project will provide Groundwater Sustainability Agencies the information needed to sustainably manage the groundwater basins that underlie Colusa County boundaries and to develop a local Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP).
