Project: Evaluation of Restoration and Recharge Potential Within the Groundwater Basins of Butte County

Description: The primary objective of this project is to develop tools to assist in the identification of potential recharge areas and surface water sources within Butte County to design future in-lieu and direct recharge projects which will further the goal of sustainability under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). Deliverables include recharge area maps overlain with potential recharge sources and an economic check-list for farmers considering converting from surface water to groundwater.
