Project: Oak Creek Watershed Restoration Project

Description: This planning project will involve completion of CEQA/NEPA as well as obtaining necessary permits in order to complete stage three of a four stage project. For stage three, the Inyo National Forest will lead the effort to complete the CEQA/NEPA documents and acquire the necessary permits. Trout Unlimited will fulfill management, coordination, and reporting duties. When completed, the Inyo National Forest will be able to implement stage four, a restoration project involving 800 acres destroyed by mudflow, 11,500 linear feet of stream bank and the re-opening of the Oak Creek campground.
