Project: Bel Marin Keys Wetlands Restoration Design

Description: Preparation of plans and designs for the restoration of seasonal and tidal wetlands on the 1,584-acre Bel Marin Keys Unit V (BMKV) property, which was acquired by the Conservancy in 2001. When combined with the adjacent Hamilton-Bel Marin Wetlands, the project will restore over 2,500 acres of wetlands, provide a beneficial reuse of 24 million cubic yards of dredged materials, convert a former military base into a treasured public resource, and complete over 3.5 miles of the San Francisco Bay Trail.
