Project: San Diego River Phase I Interpretive Projects

Description: Grant to the San Diego River Conservancy to implement Santeeā€™s San Diego River Trail Mural Project and to create new interpretive exhibits and web page content for the San Diego History Center. The goal of the Santee Mural Project is to enhance the trail with public art murals on the unsightly utility boxes and bridge overpass support structures. This interpretive project will take on themes consistent with the ecological, historical, and cultural content of the History Center or themes appropriate to the immediate trail settings. Additionally, the grant will help support new educational content based upon the new exhibits to further enhance and expand the educational programs the History Center provides to visitors and school groups.
