Project: Yolo County Delta Flood ER Project

Description: The objective of the Flood Emergency Response Grant is to improve local flood emergency response in California and contribute to increased public safety. The 'Disaster Preparedness and Flood Protection Bond Act of 2006' (Proposition 1E) makes funding available to improve local flood emergency response. This grant will be used for: - New plan development - Revise EOP and/or Regional HMP (Flood Element) - New flood contingency maps - Public safety maps and citizen maps - High resolution aerial imagery capture at 6-inch resolution - Information sharing processes, puchase & establish digital systems - NIMS compliance - Training for LMA, local agencies, public information - Communication drills and exercises - Evacuation message signs - CEQA - Installation and maintenance of signs - Digital flood monitoring equipment in West Sacramento - Pre-season flood fight materials in West Sacramento Yolo County is one of six recipients of this grant.
