Project: Upper Santa Margarita: Agricultural Irrigation Efficiency Program

Description: The project will aid in sustaining regional agriculture by reducing water requirements for 1,000 acres of irrigated agricultural land by 1,057.5 acre-feet per year through implementation of on-farm water use efficiency strategies. The project will audit the sites and identify ways to increase water efficiency by providing financial incentives including equipment costs for approved irrigation system retrofits.
