Project: Emergency project for Yuba City Unified School District

Description: Emergency project - Provide bottled water The water system has one groundwater well (Well No. 2), one hydropneumatic tank, and a distribution system. According to the water quality data submitted to State, Well No. 2 is currently extracting groundwater that has an arsenic concentration in excess of the arsenic Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL). On January 21, 2009, State?s Valley District Office issued Compliance Order No. 01-21-09(O)51007 to Supplier for violating the arsenic primary drinking water standard.
