Project: Quiota Creek Fish Passage

Description: A grant to the Cachuma Operation and Maintenance Board for a cooperative project with the Department of Fish and Game to replace a low-water Arizona crossing with an arched culvert at Refugio Road crossing #7 of Quiota Creek, located four miles south of Highway 246 in Santa Barbara County. The object of the project is to improve steelhead passage at Crossing 7, by removing the passage impediment and replacing it with a 60-foot bottomless-arched culvert to enable full fish passage while meeting County road safety standards and flood conveyance criteria.
