Project: Los Vaqueros Ranch Conservation Easement, Phase II

Description: A grant to The Nature Conservancy to acquire a conservation easement over 800± acres of property within the Arroyo Seco River watershed and related flood corridor, a tributary of the Salina River and related flood corridor.

Objective: To protect critical steelhead habitat as well as habitat for sensitive wildlife species including the red-legged frog, yellow-legged frog, western pond turtle, protect oak woodland, riparian and grasslands habitats areas, to provide enhancement to flood protection and flooplain areas within the above watersheds.
