    • The Coastal Watershed Flood Risk Reduction Program was established in the Budget Act of 2017 (AB 97) and funded by Proposition 1, CA Wat. Code Section 79700 et seq.  The Program will fund multi-benefit flood risk reduction projects which will:

      A) Primarily address coastal flood risk and public safety, and

      B) Enahnce coastal ecosystems, including fish and wildlife habitat enhancement, and

      C) Secondarily promote natural resources stewardship, including preserving working agricultural, rangeland, and forested landscapes wherever possible.

      Eligible projects must be located in Californiat Coastal Watersheds, however projects in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta are excluded from this grant program. Priority will be given to projects in the FEMA Coastal V/VE and Coastal A/AE zones.
